    ‘For a while I was unsure Whether that star was ‘For a while I was unsure Whether that star was not just the light Of a plane, moving away. For a while, I thought it was. Then I looked more carefully, Shifting my vision up, down, and sideways Through the branches. And there it was: Clearly a star. Beckoning.’ Chew Kheng Chuan. Poem titled ‘For a while I was unsure.’ (1984) This was the poem that accompanied this spectacular ring when my client proposed to his partner. This client approached me in the middle of COVID Lockdown here in Sydney. In a time that a lot of people were feeling uncertain of the future, he was resolute and so excited to create this beautiful piece. He told me how, to him, his partner is like the Milky Way, free spirited and shining brightly. He wanted to convey this and her love of travel in the ring. He felt strongly about using mostly Australian gemstones, so we found this incredible 2.09ct Parti Sapphire from Rubyvale in Central Queensland to represent the brightest star in the centre. This parti Sapphire has this incredible band of Teal Blue flashing throughout the centre, and this lent itself to the design, with the colours of the different gemstones in the ring sprinkled across the band in a constellation.     Shades of Blue and Green and Blue Green. The Austr Shades of Blue and Green and Blue Green. The Australian Sapphire really has quite a unique, sought after colouring. This band of delicate scattered Sapphires set in 18K White Gold made one stunning wedding band.
    The Crying Earrings. These beauties were crafted w The Crying Earrings. These beauties were crafted with Australian Blue and Green Sapphires, with some Teal Blue Australian Sapphires sprinkled inbetween. Set in a hybrid of White Gold and Yellow Gold, these form part of The Hybrid Collection.
    Baguette Diamond Half Eternity ring in 18K Yellow Baguette Diamond Half Eternity ring in 18K Yellow Gold. This ring was a special commission- my first one for my Mom. We took one of her platinum rings that she had been wearing for years, and made it into something funky and new. The result is pretty awesome, and I’d love to have one of these babies myself! My Mom makes the most beautiful textiles- have a look at her page and give her some love. @studioisobelsippel 💕
