20th Wedding Anniversary Gift Earrings
Emerald, Porcelain & Platinum Anniversary Earrings
This is the second pair of earrings I have created in this porcelain series, and I have to say, it is such a joy working with these materials. Each vintage plate brings something completely different to the design, from the colour and pattern to the curve of the porcelain itself.
These earrings were commissioned by a client in the US as a 20th wedding anniversary gift for his wife. Traditionally, the 20th anniversary is associated with porcelain, emerald and platinum, so we brought all three together in a pair of earrings that felt meaningful, elegant and completely one of a kind.
The porcelain drops were hand-cut from a vintage plate and carefully set in 9ct white gold, designed to follow the natural curve of the porcelain. I then paired them with raw emerald slices, faceted emeralds and platinum settings, creating a design that feels soft, organic and full of movement.
I love how these earrings balance refinement with something a little unexpected. The porcelain carries a sense of history, the emeralds bring depth and colour, and the platinum adds a beautiful finishing detail.
Creating these was such a special project, and it is always an honour to make a piece that marks such a meaningful milestone in someone’s life.
